The Ladies of Steel Magnolias

The mission of Steel Magnolias is the same as it has been since our beginning in August, 2001.  We are dedicated primarily to providing services and support to breast cancer patients in Calhoun and surrounding counties.  That is done, one patient at a time.  Secondly, we are dedicated to providing hope to anyone who reaches out to Steel Magnolias.  We accomplish that through our website, our newsletter and care packages mailed to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients who are brought to our attention.  Our proudest moments have been the passage of HB147 by unanimous vote of the 2009 AL legislature and the success of the Steel Magnolias School Girl Awareness Program.   We sincerely thank everyone whose contributions make our work possible.  To contribute please mail contribution c/o Treasurer, Nancy Burnell:
